Creative Movement & PlayThis program introduces young students to moving and controlling their body and voices. They will practice stretching, moving to music, acting out characters and exploring new environments. They will also begin very basic story play. This is a great program to do in one or two sessions but could be done once a week as well. |
Colors Alive!In this program younger students learn to move to their colors. They create tableaux images with their bodies based on how thecolors make them feel. Students develop team builiding skills while becoming familiar with their colors. This lesson can also be done with numbers,seasons and much more! |
Story Time AliveAre you bored with regular story time in your classroom? Is it time to liven things up? In this program we will take a story you are reading and bring it to life. Students will learn the basics of acting and will use these techniques in acting out the story. By the end of this program students will have roles in the story and will perform it for parents, teachers or other students. |
The Life of the FrogIn this program younger students learn how to use their bodies and movements to act out the full life cycle of a frog. This coincides with those learning about frogs in their Science curriculum and can be adapted to other creatures and animals. |
The Water CycleIn this program students who have already learned about the water cycle now apply it using theater. They realize what the cycle actually means by acting it out with their bodies and voice. Who ever thought evaporation could be so much fun? |
Plants and PoetryIn this program students learn the basics about plants using simple poetry to act out. It helps them apply what they have already learned and make it memorable. They can write their own poetry or use the poetry provided by Magic Carpet Adventures. |
